What: Taqwa.me - a new holy search engine with all the functions of a standard search website, plus a large dose of spiffy design, tools and Islamicness. MashaAllah.
I don't know the designer but credit goes to one unknown brother for creating this - kudos.
My Review
Pros: I instinctively typed in my own name to test Taqwa - 'zaufishan'... Bingo. A purple shlurple results list that reveals more as you scroll the page - no need to jump to pages or click more, or go back. The results are also broken down into 'pictures' and 'videos' in addition to the images, news and videos link at the top menu, so it's a fairly comprehensive search engine. Further, beside each result link there's a purple heart icon ♥ which if clicked asks 'do you think this is halal?', a 'no entry' icon representing 'haram' -whether this blocks the link from future searches, I do not know- and something that looks like a blue pumpkin but isn't, a question-marked ? face to 'discuss' and email your findings, should you not be pleased.

My Rating
Taqwa is looking for recruitment, promotion and funding so if you're the right person, tell them. I personally like it. Move over Google, Yahoo and askmufti.com, Taqwah's in the house.
