How To Listen
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. - Qur'an, 2:186You may think some sounds are insignificant. Your child's first word and aYou may feel that whatever enters your ear is just daily noise-trappings which you can't really control. Whispers, calls, beeps, notifications, music, traffic. Allah, the Creator of our senses, allowed all of these noises to exist but pouring them all inside us is not healthy. Prophet Jesus told his disciples 'a heart can only pour out what it contains'. If we review what we're listening to, we might understand what we're pouring out, that much better.

- Just keep listening {Qur'an, 41:26}
