Times of Oman Makes 7 ft Page-A-Day Ramadan Calendar

In 2011 Times of Oman published a Ramadan calendar one day at a time. The paper won 36 awards of excellence the same year from the Society for News Design and this Ramadan Calendar no doubt contributed heavily towards that prestige. Check out close ups below.
Design director of the Times of Oman, Adonis Durado, led his design team into creating 28 pages for the Ramadan Calendar, totalling an area of 7 squared feet.

Each day was themed on an Islamic principles which resonates more so for Muslims throughout the fasting period; using the miswak for combating Ramadan breath, moon-sightings, the joy in iftar meals and praying the du`a of Istikhara.
