From the du`a book The Fortress of The Muslim, Prophet Muhammad's beautiful advice acknowledged that sometimes, yes, we do feel down in our faith. We are criticised, we get pulled into dark holes, our heart hasn't enough experience to deal with suffering. These supplications however, are the perfect cure for re-aligning the heart and renewing one's imaan with determination.
Du`a number 135 continues to read:
Huwal-Awwalu wal-'Akhiru wadh-Dhaahiru wal-Baatinu, wa Huwa bikulli shay'in 'Aleem.
Translation: He is the First and the Last, the Most High [Ascendent] and the Most Near [Intimate]. And He is the Knower of all things (in Arabic)." (Qur'an, 57:3) [Recite the Ayat in Arabic]
(Al-Hadid 57:3, Abu Dawud 4/329. Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih Abu Dawud, 3/962.)
