Zaufishan and the Giant Peach
Our peach tree flowered gloriously but, alhamdulillah, only one bud remained. That bud stuck it through spring and in the summer of August it bloomed into a peach. The only peach. I thought if I made a holy-voodoo prayer and threw green things towards it, the peach might inhabit life size animated living creatures, and I'd get sucked in and we'd all travel over oceans towards Yemen and tell stories about our oppressive aunties that wear salwar kameez, but alas. This one was a regular peach. So we ate it.
Wow, ma'sha'allah, yummy!
