Niqah And Walimah (Wedding) Guest book
My sister's friend was married last year. They both attend[ed] Islamic uni together and so we wanted the entire class to be able to say farewell in the most creative and personal way possible: a customised guest book for friends to sign. Here are a few ideas, should you want to make your own.

- The complete gift is a spiral bound 8x10" book with 40 x 160gsm cartridge papers.
- Front cover: Twisted wire forms Neelam's name, accentuated with beadwork.
- Gold ribbon is glued as a background, along with paper flowers.
- Leaf shaped stamps decorate pages with blue ink
- Patterned and textured papers were stitched with a sewing machine before attaching to each page
- Here I printed the Urdu message 'shaadi mubarak' using the InPage Urdu software, even though Neelam doesn't speak Urdu...
- More stamps are used to make borders for this page in warmed colours. I added foil messages and another paper flower to the edge.
- The last page is sort of a personal message from friend to friend - a metallic envelope hides a letter of duas and sweetness for Neelam to keep.
- Fabric roses made by overlapping strips of sheer fabric
- Some pages are themed with Quranic quotes, relating to marry-aaj obviously
- Finally, a trip abroad with pages inspired by Paris... A floral, decoupage version of Paris.
