Qur'an Extracts - Waqi'ah
In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ Peace be with you السلام عليكم
Sweet Qur'an, oh how I missed thee; must find people to discuss this with.
"And have you seen the {water} that you drink?
Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?
If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?
And have you seen the {fire} that you ignite?
Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer?
We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers,
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great!"
Ma'sha'allah Sr. Zaufishan! Truly a wondrous thing isn't it? That we are given the blessing of water . . I think we tend to take it for granted. I'm being honest here, not trying to show off or anything, but when I see lightening and thunder (thence comes the rain), I am reminded of Allah's (swt) Power, Might and Blessing that we receive Sustenance from Above. We just had a storm last night in Prague. It's also amazing because there is only a finite amount of water on Earth as you know, so when He decides to sent it down, whether in modest amounts or in abundance, it is truly a great Blessing. Anyways, those are my thoughts, I hope you find someone with a higher understanding to discuss it with. Then write a post about it, so we can all benefit insha'allah.
