In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم

As dotted around in emel magazine, March issue.

Clever tidbits:
'Hasan', origin Arabic meaning: 'one who possesses beauty, handsome'. Also a popular Irish and Hebrew surname for example in 1558 in the Irish county of Wexford among the 'principle of gentlemen' was 'Hasson of Wexford'.

'Pajamas' originating from Farsi (Persian). A combination of the Persian words 'pa' = leg + 'jama' = garment.

Seja Majeed, political and social activist and independent film producer, recently returned from Iraq filming a humanitarian documentary called 'Baghdad Holiday'. Seja Majeed is writing and has her face plastered all over London Underground posters for being chosen as part of a national adveritising campaign for V:Inspired. She's also got an Ambassador of Peace Award under her headscarf. Very cool, mashaAllah. Sejamajeed.webs.com

Cool quotes:
"Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be prepared for changes" - Johann Wolfgang von Geothe

"Arise, and soar with the sun's new-born rays, to breathe new life into dying nights and days" - Allama Muhammad Iqbal

"What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of human beings, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful and to remove the sufferings of the injured" - Hadith, Al bukhari.

Things to shop-lift:
Briefcases & gackgammon from Objects-of-design.com.

A kneeling pad (I like gardening) from Dotcomgiftshop.com.

Medical notes:
Epilepsy; from a Greek word meaning to seize, attack or overcome. According to a 2003 consensus, over 456,000 people had/have epilepsy in the UK. Epileptic seizures can be triggered by strong emotions, poor nutrition, poor quality of sleep, stress and anxiety, high humidity, fear or bright/flashing lights. Approximately 60% of patients diagnosed with epilepsy are below 18 years old. Inter-ma-resting and useful.
