1980's Love: 3.5" Floppy's
In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم
OH EM JEE. I found boxes of 3.5" floppy disks I used nearly three decades ago. How prehistoric. My parents bought be an Acorn PC in the 80s that I adored and took care of like a fragile pet. I had over 200 disks of documents, self-made software, cartoons (I made cartoons then too), clipart and pixellated junk.
My mother's writing. I wasn't '3', it was my 3rd floppy. Bring on the innuendo.
I almost miss the metal shield getting stuck in the drive, having to reformat everything and taking the disks apart to play with the plastic data inside.
In comparison to todays' USB portal heaven, floppy's were dreadful. They still had their uses though, maybe I'm just feeling nostalgic. *shrug* I later converted to Mac and met this wonderful thing called an external hard drive. Think Willy Wonka of computing. Magic.
