Peace be with you السلام عليكم
Muslim magazine www.EMEL.com released an 'Eco-jihad' issue for June, hitting the recycled nail on the biodegradable head, on how to fix the Earth's boo-boos.
Sarah Joseph's editorial brought the imminent danger home:
"We don't seem to believe that a global climate crisis is imminent and the Earth has no instant 'facial' features to inspire us into action. The the earth is crying...We have to participate in the Eco-Jihad"
And what is Eco-jihad? "Jihad is a beautiful word with a noble meaning. It comes from the Arabic juhud, meaning to strive and struggle. Jihad means to strive in the way of good. I cannot think of anything more pressing & essential than striving of the environmental future of our planet"
Eco-jihad, a feasible and awesome title. We should let the masses know.
Also in the magazine,
- Dilwar Hussain's article on Freedom, it's diverse interpretations.
- An eco-masjid from IndyACT - League of Independent Activists.
- Rianne ten Veen, authro of '199 ways to plese God'; making Hajj greener.

- GreencleanUK.com, and,
- Stress signals... How stress can kill! No, I'm joking - but emel lists easy ways to limit the negative impact stress has on our health - from causing migraines to increasing heart problems, simply saying 'no' to extra tasks, organisation and learning to accept the unchangeable are a few proven ways to reduce the 'argh'.
Peace. ★
