When Is The Help Of Allah?

This is a photographic print I created six years ago, at the same time I was studying Quranic ayaat. Surah 2, verse 214 has always showed me of our helplessness without God. During the Prophet Muhammad's life, circumstances in Makkah had become very life-threatening so that he eventually called out for the help and assistance of God, proving that there is no greater power than Him and that all actions only occur because He allows them to. God then, also speaks to us through the seerah by comparing the troubles in the lives of the noblest of people, to ours. Do we think we will enter Paradise just by believing, just by talking the talk?

I have this sign displayed so that I am reminded to call on God, just as Rasool-Allah did, Allah's peace and blessings be on him.

'Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said,"When is the help of Allah ?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.' (Qur'an, 2:214)

The price of Paradise is your soul. And Allah is fully aware of the state of your soul.
