Bloggery Award
In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم
From: Blue Pearl - JazakAllah khairan.
Rules: I gotta list where I see myself in ten years, ergh. And pass it forward to ten other internet freaks.
Behold! In ten gargantuan years...
- One hopes to be with Allah. In life as a Muslim or in passing, as a Muslim.
- One hopes that one can still see in a decade.
- I see myself more sarcastic. Wrinklier. With people who are wiser, equally old, grumpy and wrinkled.
- I see... hopefully more patience, tolerance, less cursing and less object throwing.
- I see small people running around. A whole army of'em.
- InshaAllah - I want that orphanage built. It's in the planning.
- What else... Oh, I see myself as a dictator of a small island somewhere in the Pacific.
- In ten years I want to see more good men in power.
- I see progression in a spiritual and social sense. Less poverty. More people helping (ansaar).
- I see myself doing more.

Okeykokey?
You are most welcome and so rightly deserve this award. I really love your aspirations, most especially the one on the orphanage. Please do share more with me or all of us - for me, orphans have become a personal thing. I want so much to do something for or with orphans - I cannot tell you everywhere I look, its almost like I am being reminded of them. I see them in dreams, friends having conversations about them, your post and I have this habit after salaat I open up the quran to any page and read - a few times (recently) it has landed on verses of orphans. I really need to do something and just cant get my head around what!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, ma'sha'allah what excellent goals and awww again, you mentioned me! I'm so not worthy of any award! As you say, "Shookran" but just to update, currently reporting from Portland = home sweet home, but alas, back to Prague in Sept.
ReplyDeleteMay all your dreams and desires for this World and the Next listed be Granted by the Almighty. AMEEN!
@Bluepearl - I sponsor orphans through Action Aid & Muslim hands - http://www.muslimness.com/2010/03/muslimness-has-sponsored-orphan.html
ReplyDeleteGet in touch for sponsorship or get family/ a bunch of friends to join in. Foster children if you're able. It's a lengthy process with checks and interviews but that's successful and needed.
May Allah reward you; orphans need us just as we need Allah. May you love them like I do, and more.
small people running around?? yajooj majooj?
ReplyDeleteYes, I have really wanted to foster..but then, reading the process really tires me out..
but in America, the foster system i've heard is horrible...
