In keeping with the Eco-Muslim theme I interviewed sister Asiila Rasool from San Diego about her community garden. The original unedited post is on Muslimness.com.
The community garden reminded me strongly of the ones my parents' had before the world became a processed can of beans. We had an allotment, and my grandfather grew everything from herbs and root vegetables to fruit trees. May Allah have mercy on him, he passed away 8yrs ago.
