Sherbet dip is HALAL!

I'm addicted to liquorice (licorice) like an addicted addict. Sherbet dip is a Barratt's sweet - a liquorice stick and lemony sherbet powder for dippin' and lickin'. Yummm.

I used to get told by people (the friendly strangers who gave you sweets when you were 5) that liquorice was haram due to some unethical animal manufactured essence. As if that put me off.

Behold I have the Halal authentication and an animal product free ingredients list! So ha! And wohoo!

It seems cheap and easy to stick a 'halal' label on any mainstream foods for Muslim audiences, but it's a step closer to providing a halal based diet for everyone.
