Homecooked Iftar meal
In the name of God, compassionate & merciful بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ | Peace be with you السلام عليكم
I MADE THIS FROM SCRATCH! Woot. Alhamdulillah.
- The pink slabs are panfried pieces of salmon; deliciously sweet and tangy, almost like spicy honey
- Roast potatoes; these have become my specialty. (Peel, chop potatoes, cut into equally sized chunks, boil until just soft - breakable - then stick in the oven with herbs and oil for crunchiness).
- The white octagonal frisbees are homegrown cucumbers from the greenhouse! I have a daily duty of pruning, watering and whispering sweet planty nothings into their leafy ears to ensure they grown excellente.
- Homegrown tomatoes & boiled vegetables.
- Herb sauce made from scratch! Who 'da wo-man? I DA WO-MAN!' I'm so hip right now with cookery, all this vanity will comeback to bite me in the butt, I just know it.
So that was my Iftar meal for day 12 in Ramadan 2009. Masha'Allah. Oh, I had peach juice too.
