Finding Moons
I stood on a hill to look for the (hilal) Moon.
With no sighting, I figured too soon.
A meteor struck me, lightning, a bird;
Moonless I waited, feeling absurd.
Googling for consensus, men ushered to pray.
Golden silences floated, beacons of light, a ray...
Moonsighting.com and Centres galore,
told me Shaban was present no more.
I skipped down that hill, with a smile in my hand.
30days of dua making, never felt so grand. ★
